Beta Updated

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

A New version of the beta has been released. We have included the following changes:

  • An update feature is now present on the Home Page
  • Touched up the design of Home, Complaints, and Customer Pages.
  • Touched up the overall design of Carrier Companion

Things yet to do:

  • Route Guides Section
  • Reports Section
  • Carrier’s Section
  • Tax Section

Enjoy!

A Friendly reminder:
When you see version 2.0.1.0 or later the beta is finished, and Carrier Companion 2 has been be released.
the versioning of files are as follows: <major version>.<minor version>.<build number>.<revision> the build number of 1 or later represents a release, a build number of 0 represents beta.

A little mess up on the installer… The beta release should now work.

The last release of the beta was not installing assemblies to the Global Assembly Cache (GAC). This may be due to the Wise Installer (I’ve read Wise was known for this). We have now corrected the issue. You can download them in the downloads section of this site.

Be the first to experience the new Carrier Companion! This does not have a serial, and is unlimited, but not ALL the features work as of yet, but you can get the look and feel of how the new Carrier Companion will work.

Overwhelmed at the moment. Bare with me.

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

The publisher recently decided to cut the pay on one of my routes to about 1/2, and cut the pay on another routes by 1/4. So, I’ve been busy picking up another route from another publisher. Now I am doing over 400 papers and over 100 miles a day. This is taking my about 4-6 hours!

I have given a 30 day termination notice for one of my routes so I can the remaining ones in a decent amount of time. Because I had to learn another route, this has taken some of the time I use to program. Not to worry though, we are still on it. We are about complete with the customer section, and we will release a preview. The guides section will not be included as we are still working on some design issues.

I hope you can bare with me as we try to work about this chaos!
